This website works without cookies, without tracking and without embedded third-party content. Only what is needed to deliver the pages and to answer your enquiry is processed.

2. Visiting the website

The website is delivered through Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). With every request Cloudflare processes technically necessary data: IP address, date and time, the page requested, browser and operating system. This serves the delivery and the protection of the website.

The language setting of your browser and the referring page are processed as well. When you open the entry address, the language setting decides whether you see the German or the English version; nothing is stored for this.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; my legitimate interest is secure and reliable operation. Cloudflare is bound as a processor under Art. 28 GDPR. Where data reaches the USA in the process, the transfer relies on the European Commission's adequacy decision of 10 July 2023 on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, under which Cloudflare is certified, supplemented by the standard contractual clauses of the European Commission; a copy is available on request.

I keep no access logs of my own and use no analytics tools. Cloudflare provides me only with aggregated operating figures, for example the number of requests.

3. Cookies, tracking and fonts

This website sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. Fonts and images are loaded from this website itself, not from third parties. Consent is therefore not required.

4. Self-checks and guide

The evaluation runs entirely in your browser. Your answers are neither transmitted nor stored.

5. Contact

When you send the contact form, your details are transmitted to this website in encrypted form. They are not stored there but delivered to me at once as an email; Cloudflare handles the sending.

The form also transmits the page you send it from and its language. To prevent abuse, the number of times the form can be sent is limited. For this, the time of each submission is stored for 24 hours, together with one irreversible check value each of the IP address and of the message; the details themselves are not stored. The count runs at Cloudflare.

Through the form, by email or by phone I process your address, your name, the further details you give and the content of the message in order to answer your enquiry. Emails to info@oswald.technology are received by Cloudflare and forwarded to my mailbox at Microsoft (Outlook). Microsoft may also process data in the USA and is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where you yourself are to become the contracting party; if you enquire for a company or no contract is involved, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; my legitimate interest is answering your message. I delete enquiries once they are dealt with, unless statutory retention duties for business correspondence apply (business letters six years, Section 147 of the German Fiscal Code).

6. Links to other websites

The link to LinkedIn is a plain reference. Data is transmitted only when you click it; LinkedIn's privacy policy then applies.

7. Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), to rectification (Art. 16), to erasure (Art. 17), to restriction of processing (Art. 18) and to data portability (Art. 20). An email to info@oswald.technology is sufficient.

Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR): You may object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The authority responsible for me is the Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision (Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany.

8. No obligation to provide data, no automated decision

You are not obliged to provide data. Without your contact details, however, I cannot reply. There is no automated decision-making and no profiling.
